Born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, Peso Pluma is paving the way for the next generation of Mexican artists. The young up-and-comer has been making a name for himself with his unparalleled style and authenticity. Peso Pluma is showcasing his musical prowess, with over 54 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Peso Pluma has a strong and passionate fan base. The rising star made Spotify Mexico history as the first Mexican artist to lead the ‘Daily Top Artists Mexico’ chart and Continues to break records worldwide, in June 2023 he became the first artist to dominate both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global 200 Excl. U.S. simultaneously with two different songs: “Ella Baila Sola” with Eslabon Armado and “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 55” with Bizarrap. With 10 songs on the Billboard Global 200 including positions one, two and five, nine tracks on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, he remains the number one artist in Mexico. He first landed on the Billboard chart last April with “El Belicón,” and has since charted numerous additional Hot Latin Songs hits including “Siempre Pendientes” with Luis R Conriquez, “El Gavilán” with Conriquez and Tony Aguirre, “Igualito A Mi Apá” with Fuerza Regida, “AMG” with Gabito Ballesteros and Natanael Cano, “Ella Baila Sola” with Eslabon Armado, and “La Bebe (Remix)” with Yng Lvcas. “Siempre Pendientes” also became Peso Pluma’s first global chart hit, as it reached No. 155 on Global Excl. U.S. and No. 174 on the Global 200. “Ella Baila Sola” featuring Eslabon Armado has landed at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart and No. 5 on Billboard’s Hot 100. “Ella Baila Sola” is currently the number one track on Billboard Latin Airplay Chart and Billboard Global 200. Earlier this year, he released “Chanel” with Becky G and they performed the track together at the 2023 Latin American Music Awards and Peso Pluma was a surprise guest during her mainstage performance at weekend one of Coachella 2023. He went on to release “77” alongside Eladio Carrion, and “BYE,” and his highly anticipated album “GENESIS” which featured additional collaborations with Grupo Frontera, Junior H, Natanael Cano, among others. His album “GENESIS” went on to become the highest first-day streamed album in APPLE and Spotify history and the highest charting musica Mexican album in Billboard chart history. Having appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Peso Pluma is breaking the mold and showing the next generation of artists that a musician’s superpower is remaining true to themselves. The highest nominated artist for the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards, he also became the most decorated artist of the night winning eight Latin Billboard Awards including New Artist of the Year, Hot Latin Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. He also received three nominations for the 2023 MTV VMA Awards including “Best New Artist.” He also became the first Mexican to ever perform at the VMAs where he performed his hit song “LADY GAGA.” Peso Pluma also recently launched his own record label Double P Records (in partnership with George Prajin) which has already signed Jasiel Nuñez, Tito Double P and Raul Vega.
